17th Annual Awards Celebration

“ I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back”

-Maya Angelou

This month MicroSkills is celebrating people who embody the same sentiment as Maya Angelou. These are women leaders and entrepreneurs, youth leaders, and corporate spirit that don’t look for hand outs but reach back and help others through their passion.

It is important to recognize at the corporate level, self-employed level, and even at a youth’s level, that there are people in the world who are willing to be proactive about not only helping themselves build a better future, but help others to do the same.

Taking time out of our busy schedules to acknowledge how far our clients have come or to celebrate corporations and individuals who, like MicroSkills, want to give individuals the tools they need to create their own versions of success is so important. There is a lot of negativity in the world and events like ours do more than just elucidate the fact that there are people trying to make a difference and promote positivity; they also help share the stories and make us feel a little more connected.

It is important to MicroSkills that these successes transform from individual stories into shared experiences that can inspire and motivate people in similar positions in life. So please join us May 29th at the Pearson Convention Centre from 5:30pm-9:30pm or please spread the word of this event by sharing this link (MicroSkills 17th Annual Awards Celebration) with your networks.
